Is a Blue Sided a sensible choice for you in Tharalu?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Tharalu apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Blue Sided that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Blue Sided arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
