Buy Yellow Naped Amazon in Shikarpur, Karnataka

We place across Shikarpur and the wider Karnataka region. If a medium bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

mild tropical plateau, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Yellow Naped Amazon.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Yellow Naped Amazon arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Yellow Naped Amazon comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Shikarpur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Feeding a medium bird without guesswork

Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Yellow Naped Amazon that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Yellow Naped Amazon names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

What you will pay

Expect ₹94,020 upward, to around ₹94,020. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Health and handover

Every Yellow Naped Amazon is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a medium bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
