What is listed for Shikarpur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Yellow Monk you asked for and hear about it in six months.

What a Yellow Monk costs in Shikarpur

The purchase is the small number. Over 5-15 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Yellow Monk without mentioning that is selling, not advising.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

moderate Deccan, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Yellow Monk arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Is a Yellow Monk a sensible choice for you in Shikarpur?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Shikarpur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Yellow Monk.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Yellow Monk comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Shikarpur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Yellow Monk price, and the cost after it

₹28,933 to ₹28,933 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Yellow Monk without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
