What is listed for RT Nagar is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Cockatiel you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Cockatiel comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a RT Nagar flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Cockatiel that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 15-20 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.

Is a Cockatiel a sensible choice for you in RT Nagar?

You are choosing a 15-20 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a RT Nagar apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Cockatiel arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Cockatiel reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.

What a Cockatiel costs in RT Nagar

Expect ₹3,310 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.

What you will pay

Expect ₹3,310 upward, to around ₹3,310. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 15-20 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
