We place across RMV Extension and the wider Karnataka region. If a large bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Health records you should insist on

Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.

What a Scarlet Macaw costs in RMV Extension

The purchase is the small number. Over 5-15 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Scarlet Macaw without mentioning that is selling, not advising.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a large Scarlet Macaw to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.

Is a Scarlet Macaw a sensible choice for you in RMV Extension?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Scarlet Macaw will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into RMV Extension without much drama.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

moderate Deccan, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Feeding a large bird without guesswork

Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Scarlet Macaw that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.

What you will pay

Expect ₹298,026 upward, to around ₹298,026. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
