Buy Cockatiel in Panathur, Karnataka

What is listed for Panathur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Cockatiel you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Cockatiel arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A calm Cockatiel that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 15-20 Years is easier.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Cockatiel.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small bird notices both. the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Cockatiel will barely register the change.

Health records you should insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Cockatiel; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

What you will pay

Expect ₹4,255 upward, to around ₹4,255. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 15-20 Years.

Health and handover

Every Cockatiel is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
