Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Senegal Parrot comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Marathahalli flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Is a Senegal Parrot a sensible choice for you in Marathahalli?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Marathahalli apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Health records you should insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Senegal Parrot; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Senegal Parrot that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a small Senegal Parrot to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.

What a Senegal Parrot costs in Marathahalli

Between ₹42,931 and ₹42,931 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Senegal Parrot costs more up front and less in the first months.

What you will pay

Expect ₹42,931 upward, to around ₹42,931. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Health and handover

Every Senegal Parrot is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
