Buy Red Collared Lorikeet in Maddur, Karnataka
What is listed for Maddur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Red Collared Lorikeet you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Red Collared Lorikeet reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.
What a Red Collared Lorikeet costs in Maddur
Expect ₹21,223 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Red Collared Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Red Collared Lorikeet comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Maddur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Is a Red Collared Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Maddur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Red Collared Lorikeet will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Maddur without much drama.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Red Collared Lorikeet that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Red Collared Lorikeet price, and the cost after it
₹21,223 to ₹21,223 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Red Collared Lorikeet without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Red Collared Lorikeet is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Red Collared Lorikeet in Maddur: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 36°C. That is manageable for a Red Collared Lorikeet: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Red Collared Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, May, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 36 | 36 | 33 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 29 |
| Low °C | 15 | 17 | 21 | 23 | 22 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 19 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 2 | 5 | 19 | 64 | 116 | 98 | 118 | 114 | 140 | 132 | 57 | 13 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Red Collared Lorikeet
Your week with a Red Collared Lorikeet, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the bird properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Red Collared Lorikeet comes home.
