We place across Kamakshipalya and the wider Karnataka region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Chattering Lorikeet comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kamakshipalya flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Chattering Lorikeet is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Chattering Lorikeet that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.

Health records you should insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Chattering Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Chattering Lorikeet reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.

Is a Chattering Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Kamakshipalya?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Chattering Lorikeet will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kamakshipalya without much drama.

Chattering Lorikeet price, and the cost after it

₹60,337 to ₹60,337 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Chattering Lorikeet without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
