We place across Kalyan Nagar South and the wider Karnataka region. If a large bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

mild tropical plateau, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Blue & Gold Macaw comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kalyan Nagar South flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Blue & Gold Macaw arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Feeding a large bird without guesswork

Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the bird lobbies. A Blue & Gold Macaw that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 5-15 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a large Blue & Gold Macaw to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.

Is a Blue & Gold Macaw a sensible choice for you in Kalyan Nagar South?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large bird in a Kalyan Nagar South apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

What you will pay

Expect ₹130,187 upward, to around ₹130,187. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
