What is listed for Kalkere is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Scarlet Macaw you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Feeding a large bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a large Scarlet Macaw to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.

What a Scarlet Macaw costs in Kalkere

Between ₹298,026 and ₹298,026 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Scarlet Macaw costs more up front and less in the first months.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Scarlet Macaw names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Scarlet Macaw is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

moderate Deccan, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

What you will pay

Expect ₹298,026 upward, to around ₹298,026. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
