We place across Kalasa and the wider Karnataka region. If a medium bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Yellow Naped Amazon names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.
Is a Yellow Naped Amazon a sensible choice for you in Kalasa?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Yellow Naped Amazon will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kalasa without much drama.
Feeding a medium bird without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds For a Yellow Naped Amazon that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a medium bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Yellow Naped Amazon are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Yellow Naped Amazon is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
Yellow Naped Amazon price, and the cost after it
₹94,020 to ₹94,020 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Yellow Naped Amazon without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
