Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Green Cheek Conure will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Jamkhandi without much drama.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Settling in with children and other pets

What you will pay

Expect ₹6,962 upward, to around ₹6,962. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
