Buy Blue Sided in Gubbi, Karnataka
What is listed for Gubbi is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Blue Sided you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
mild tropical plateau, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Blue Sided.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Blue Sided that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Blue Sided is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
Is a Blue Sided a sensible choice for you in Gubbi?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Blue Sided will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Gubbi without much drama.
Blue Sided price, and the cost after it
₹7,062 to ₹7,062 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Blue Sided without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Blue Sided is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Blue Sided in Gubbi: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 36°C. That is manageable for a Blue Sided: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Blue Sided bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, May, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 33 | 36 | 36 | 33 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 27 | 28 |
| Low °C | 14 | 16 | 20 | 22 | 22 | 20 | 19 | 19 | 19 | 18 | 16 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 2 | 5 | 17 | 54 | 102 | 81 | 100 | 108 | 142 | 126 | 48 | 9 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
