We place across Gandhinagar and the wider Karnataka region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Crimson Bellied Conure comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Gandhinagar flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Health records you should insist on

Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.

Is a Crimson Bellied Conure a sensible choice for you in Gandhinagar?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Gandhinagar apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Crimson Bellied Conure arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Crimson Bellied Conure will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Crimson Bellied Conure reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.

What you will pay

Expect ₹8,782 upward, to around ₹8,782. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
