Is a Scarlet Macaw a sensible choice for you in Doddanekundi?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Scarlet Macaw will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Doddanekundi without much drama.

Feeding a large bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a large bird notices both. the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Scarlet Macaw will barely register the change.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Scarlet Macaw that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.

Health records you should insist on

Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.

What you will pay
