What is listed for Dodda Ballapur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Blue Sided you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Blue Sided comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Dodda Ballapur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Blue Sided names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Blue Sided arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Blue Sided will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
What a Blue Sided costs in Dodda Ballapur
Expect ₹7,062 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Blue Sided reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.
Blue Sided price, and the cost after it
₹7,062 to ₹7,062 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Blue Sided without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Blue Sided is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Blue Sided in Dodda Ballapur: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 35°C. That is manageable for a Blue Sided: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Blue Sided bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, March, May, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 32 | 35 | 35 | 33 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 27 | 26 | 26 |
| Low °C | 14 | 15 | 19 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 19 | 19 | 19 | 18 | 16 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 2 | 5 | 16 | 58 | 108 | 77 | 98 | 110 | 154 | 138 | 57 | 15 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Blue Sided | Turquoise Conure
Your week with a Blue Sided, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the bird properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Blue Sided comes home.
