Feeding a medium bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Yellow Naped Amazon.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a medium bird notices both. the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Yellow Naped Amazon will barely register the change.

Is a Yellow Naped Amazon a sensible choice for you in Dasarahalli?

Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Yellow Naped Amazon placements in Dasarahalli than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.

Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
