Is a Nanday Conure a sensible choice for you in Bidarahalli?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Nanday Conure will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Bidarahalli without much drama.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a small Nanday Conure to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

moderate Deccan, and the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Nanday Conure comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Bidarahalli flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
