Buy African Grey Parrot in Bengaluru Urban, Karnataka
What is listed for Bengaluru Urban is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the African Grey Parrot you asked for and hear about it in six months.
What a African Grey Parrot costs in Bengaluru Urban
Between ₹67,146 and ₹67,146 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated African Grey Parrot costs more up front and less in the first months.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every African Grey Parrot; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a African Grey Parrot comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Bengaluru Urban flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Is a African Grey Parrot a sensible choice for you in Bengaluru Urban?
You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A medium bird in a Bengaluru Urban apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds For a African Grey Parrot that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
African Grey Parrot price, and the cost after it
₹67,146 to ₹67,146 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a African Grey Parrot without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a African Grey Parrot in Bengaluru Urban: local climate
The city sits at about 920 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.
Summer here peaks in April at about 35°C. That is manageable for a African Grey Parrot: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new African Grey Parrot bird, the easiest months to arrive are November to August: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 28 | 32 | 34 | 35 | 32 | 28 | 28 | 27 | 27 | 27 | 26 | 26 |
| Low °C | 13 | 14 | 18 | 21 | 21 | 19 | 18 | 18 | 18 | 18 | 15 | 13 |
| Rain mm | 2 | 5 | 16 | 58 | 108 | 77 | 98 | 110 | 154 | 138 | 57 | 15 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
