What is listed for Basavakalyan is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Yellow Naped Amazon you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Yellow Naped Amazon that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Yellow Naped Amazon; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Yellow Naped Amazon is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
What a Yellow Naped Amazon costs in Basavakalyan
Between ₹94,020 and ₹94,020 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Yellow Naped Amazon costs more up front and less in the first months.
Feeding a medium bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Yellow Naped Amazon will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Is a Yellow Naped Amazon a sensible choice for you in Basavakalyan?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Yellow Naped Amazon placements in Basavakalyan than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
What you will pay
Expect ₹94,020 upward, to around ₹94,020. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Yellow Naped Amazon in Basavakalyan: local climate
Basavakalyan is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Yellow Naped Amazon needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from July to September, and September is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Yellow Naped Amazon bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 34 | 37 | 39 | 40 | 33 | 30 | 29 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 13 | 17 | 20 | 24 | 26 | 23 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 18 | 15 | 13 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 4 | 15 | 21 | 34 | 119 | 153 | 163 | 177 | 78 | 14 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
