We place across Sodam and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a small bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Blue Monk is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Blue Monk names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.

Is a Blue Monk a sensible choice for you in Sodam?

You are choosing a 5-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small bird in a Sodam apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

What a Blue Monk costs in Sodam

The purchase is the small number. Over 5-15 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Blue Monk without mentioning that is selling, not advising.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the bird to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Blue Monk.

Feeding a small bird without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

What you will pay

Expect ₹26,131 upward, to around ₹26,131. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 5-15 Years.

Health and handover

Every Blue Monk is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
