What is listed for Rapur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Chattering Lorikeet you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Chattering Lorikeet reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.
Feeding a small bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Chattering Lorikeet will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Is a Chattering Lorikeet a sensible choice for you in Rapur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Chattering Lorikeet will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Rapur without much drama.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Chattering Lorikeet; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Chattering Lorikeet arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a bird that seeks them out.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Chattering Lorikeet that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 5-15 Years is easier.
Chattering Lorikeet price, and the cost after it
₹60,337 to ₹60,337 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Chattering Lorikeet without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Chattering Lorikeet in Rapur: local climate
Rapur is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Chattering Lorikeet needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from October to November, and October is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Chattering Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, July, August, September and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 34 | 38 | 40 | 39 | 36 | 35 | 34 | 33 | 32 | 29 | 28 |
| Low °C | 17 | 18 | 22 | 25 | 27 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 21 | 18 |
| Rain mm | 9 | 4 | 12 | 22 | 49 | 62 | 92 | 103 | 120 | 189 | 181 | 61 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
