We place across Pulivendula and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a medium bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a African Grey Parrot names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented bird from an undocumented one.
Is a African Grey Parrot a sensible choice for you in Pulivendula?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more African Grey Parrot placements in Pulivendula than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a medium bird, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young African Grey Parrot are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A African Grey Parrot reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.
Feeding a medium bird without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
African Grey Parrot price, and the cost after it
₹67,146 to ₹67,146 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a African Grey Parrot without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a African Grey Parrot in Pulivendula: local climate
Pulivendula is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A African Grey Parrot needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new African Grey Parrot bird, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 35 | 38 | 40 | 38 | 34 | 33 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 29 | 29 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 22 | 25 | 26 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 21 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 3 | 12 | 26 | 68 | 71 | 80 | 88 | 141 | 110 | 50 | 12 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for African Grey Parrot
Your week with a African Grey Parrot, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the bird properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the African Grey Parrot comes home.
