We place across Macherla and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a medium bird does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
What a Yellow Naped Amazon costs in Macherla
Between ₹94,020 and ₹94,020 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Yellow Naped Amazon costs more up front and less in the first months.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a medium bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
coastal tropical, and moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the bird dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Feeding a medium bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Yellow Naped Amazon will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Yellow Naped Amazon is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 5-15 Years.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a medium Yellow Naped Amazon to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the bird already has one place it considers its own.
Yellow Naped Amazon price, and the cost after it
₹94,020 to ₹94,020 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Yellow Naped Amazon without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Yellow Naped Amazon in Macherla: local climate
Macherla is hottest in May, averaging 41°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Yellow Naped Amazon needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in August.
For a new Yellow Naped Amazon bird, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 35 | 39 | 41 | 41 | 35 | 33 | 32 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 29 |
| Low °C | 17 | 19 | 22 | 26 | 28 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 22 | 19 | 17 |
| Rain mm | 7 | 6 | 13 | 20 | 38 | 95 | 127 | 145 | 141 | 113 | 35 | 9 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
