What is listed for Amaravathi is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different bird that fits your schedule than sell you the Scarlet Macaw you asked for and hear about it in six months.
What a Scarlet Macaw costs in Amaravathi
Between ₹298,026 and ₹298,026 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the bird is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Scarlet Macaw costs more up front and less in the first months.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large bird entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Is a Scarlet Macaw a sensible choice for you in Amaravathi?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Scarlet Macaw placements in Amaravathi than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Scarlet Macaw; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Feeding a large bird without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Scarlet Macaw will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Scarlet Macaw reads consistency as safety, and a settled bird learns faster.
Scarlet Macaw price, and the cost after it
₹298,026 to ₹298,026 for the bird. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Scarlet Macaw without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Scarlet Macaw is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large bird moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Scarlet Macaw in Amaravathi: local climate
Amaravathi is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Scarlet Macaw needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from July to October, and October is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Scarlet Macaw bird, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 38 | 40 | 40 | 35 | 33 | 31 | 31 | 30 | 29 | 29 |
| Low °C | 17 | 19 | 22 | 25 | 28 | 27 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 20 | 17 |
| Rain mm | 7 | 11 | 9 | 20 | 47 | 126 | 178 | 178 | 171 | 183 | 71 | 21 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Scarlet Macaw
Your week with a Scarlet Macaw, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the bird properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Scarlet Macaw comes home.
