What is listed for Sadasivpet is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Dachshund Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Dachshund Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Dachshund Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Dachshund Puppy.
Is a Dachshund Puppy a sensible choice for you in Sadasivpet?
You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small dog in a Sadasivpet apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Weather, coat and the Telangana year
pleasant semi-tropical, and comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Feeding a small dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Dachshund Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Dachshund Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹15,221 to ₹15,221 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Dachshund Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Dachshund Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Dachshund in Sadasivpet: local climate
Sadasivpet is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Dachshund needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from July to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Dachshund puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 33 | 37 | 39 | 40 | 33 | 30 | 29 | 29 | 29 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 14 | 17 | 21 | 24 | 26 | 24 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 19 | 16 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 7 | 5 | 20 | 26 | 30 | 110 | 168 | 184 | 160 | 84 | 13 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Dachshund Puppy
A practical checklist for a small dog in a Sadasivpet flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
