What is listed for Masaipet is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Border Collie Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Is a Border Collie Puppy a sensible choice for you in Masaipet?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Border Collie Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Masaipet without much drama.
Weather, coat and the Telangana year
moderate Deccan, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Border Collie Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a medium dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a medium Border Collie Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
What a Border Collie Puppy costs in Masaipet
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Border Collie Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
What you will pay
Expect ₹200,267 upward, to around ₹200,267. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Border Collie in Masaipet: local climate
Masaipet is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Border Collie needs real protection from that because its double coat holds heat close to the body: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from July to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Border Collie puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 33 | 37 | 40 | 40 | 34 | 30 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 14 | 17 | 21 | 24 | 27 | 24 | 22 | 22 | 21 | 19 | 16 | 13 |
| Rain mm | 8 | 6 | 19 | 22 | 26 | 118 | 189 | 206 | 155 | 80 | 12 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
