What is listed for Kohir is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Dogo Argentino Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Is a Dogo Argentino Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kohir?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kohir without much drama.
What a Dogo Argentino Puppy costs in Kohir
Expect ₹56,603 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A Dogo Argentino Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Dogo Argentino Puppy names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a large Dogo Argentino Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.
Dogo Argentino Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹56,603 to ₹56,603 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Dogo Argentino Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Dogo Argentino Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Dogo Argentino in Kohir: local climate
Kohir is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Dogo Argentino needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from July to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Dogo Argentino puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 33 | 37 | 39 | 40 | 33 | 30 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 14 | 16 | 20 | 24 | 26 | 23 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 18 | 15 | 13 |
| Rain mm | 6 | 5 | 19 | 26 | 35 | 116 | 169 | 186 | 169 | 80 | 14 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Dogo Argentino Puppy
A practical checklist for a large dog in a Kohir flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
