We place across Kaloor Thimmandoddi and the wider Telangana region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Afghan Hound Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Afghan Hound Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
What a Afghan Hound Puppy costs in Kaloor Thimmandoddi
Between ₹78,285 and ₹78,285 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Afghan Hound Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Is a Afghan Hound Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kaloor Thimmandoddi?
You are choosing a 12–14 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large dog in a Kaloor Thimmandoddi apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A aloof Afghan Hound Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 12–14 Years.
Afghan Hound Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹78,285 to ₹78,285 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Afghan Hound Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Afghan Hound Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Afghan Hound in Kaloor Thimmandoddi: local climate
Kaloor Thimmandoddi is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Afghan Hound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Afghan Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, June, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 40 | 40 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 31 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 22 | 25 | 27 | 24 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 20 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 2 | 15 | 24 | 54 | 92 | 112 | 117 | 153 | 84 | 17 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Afghan Hound Puppy
Your week with a Afghan Hound Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Afghan Hound Puppy comes home.
