We place across Kodumudi and the wider Tamil Nadu region. If a giant dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a French Mastiff Puppy names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.
Is a French Mastiff Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kodumudi?
You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A giant dog in a Kodumudi apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly French Mastiff Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.
Weather, coat and the Tamil Nadu year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a giant dog notices both. the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the French Mastiff Puppy will barely register the change.
Feeding a giant dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A French Mastiff Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the French Mastiff Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
French Mastiff Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹47,270 to ₹47,270 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a French Mastiff Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every French Mastiff Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a giant dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a French Mastiff in Kodumudi: local climate
Kodumudi is hottest in April, averaging 38°C in the afternoon. A French Mastiff needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a giant body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 18°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in October. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new French Mastiff puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 38 | 36 | 34 | 34 | 34 | 33 | 32 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 18 | 19 | 23 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 23 | 21 | 19 |
| Rain mm | 6 | 9 | 18 | 36 | 77 | 40 | 54 | 75 | 102 | 151 | 144 | 48 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for French Mastiff Puppy
Your week with a French Mastiff Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the French Mastiff Puppy comes home.
