We place across Vaikom and the wider Kerala region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a large dog notices both. the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Rottweiler Puppy will barely register the change.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Rottweiler Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a large Rottweiler Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
Is a Rottweiler Puppy a sensible choice for you in Vaikom?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Rottweiler Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Vaikom without much drama.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Rottweiler Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.
Rottweiler Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹27,992 to ₹27,992 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Rottweiler Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Rottweiler in Vaikom: local climate
Summers here are mild, peaking at about 31°C in March, so heat is rarely the problem for a Rottweiler that it is on the plains.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 26°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to November, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Rottweiler puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
