We place across Muvattupuzha and the wider Kerala region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Is a Dogo Argentino Puppy a sensible choice for you in Muvattupuzha?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Muvattupuzha without much drama.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips For a Dogo Argentino Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Dogo Argentino Puppy.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Dogo Argentino Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
Dogo Argentino Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹56,603 to ₹56,603 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Dogo Argentino Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Dogo Argentino in Muvattupuzha: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 36°C. That is manageable for a Dogo Argentino, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 20°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to November, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Dogo Argentino puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 36 | 35 | 32 | 30 | 29 | 29 | 29 | 30 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 20 | 21 | 23 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 21 |
| Rain mm | 12 | 24 | 47 | 107 | 217 | 334 | 291 | 245 | 231 | 312 | 171 | 38 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Your week with a Dogo Argentino Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.

- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Dogo Argentino Puppy comes home.
