We place across Malappuram and the wider Kerala region. If a tiny dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
What a Chihuahua Puppy costs in Malappuram
Expect ₹27,994 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Chihuahua Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Chihuahua Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Chihuahua Puppy.
Feeding a tiny dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A tiny breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a tiny dog notices both. the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Chihuahua Puppy will barely register the change.
Chihuahua Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹27,994 to ₹27,994 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Chihuahua Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Chihuahua Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a tiny dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Chihuahua in Malappuram: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 36°C. That is manageable for a Chihuahua: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 20°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Chihuahua puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, April and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 33 | 35 | 36 | 35 | 32 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 29 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 20 | 22 | 24 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 21 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 11 | 33 | 84 | 184 | 399 | 368 | 278 | 217 | 241 | 129 | 26 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Chihuahua Puppy
Your week with a Chihuahua Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Chihuahua Puppy comes home.
