We place across Kuttanad and the wider Kerala region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a German Shepherd Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kuttanad flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Health records you should insist on

Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.

Feeding a large dog without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Is a German Shepherd Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kuttanad?

You are choosing a 9-13 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large dog in a Kuttanad apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

What a German Shepherd Puppy costs in Kuttanad

Between ₹35,400 and ₹35,400 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated German Shepherd Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new German Shepherd Puppy.

What you will pay

Expect ₹35,400 upward, to around ₹35,400. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 9-13 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
