What is listed for Kuttanad is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Dogo Argentino Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Is a Dogo Argentino Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kuttanad?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kuttanad without much drama.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Dogo Argentino Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Dogo Argentino Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Dogo Argentino Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kuttanad flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
What a Dogo Argentino Puppy costs in Kuttanad
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Dogo Argentino Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Dogo Argentino Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹56,603 to ₹56,603 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Dogo Argentino Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Dogo Argentino in Kuttanad: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 35°C. That is manageable for a Dogo Argentino, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 22°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Dogo Argentino puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, April and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 33 | 35 | 35 | 33 | 31 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 22 | 23 | 25 | 26 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 22 |
| Rain mm | 9 | 19 | 41 | 104 | 223 | 444 | 395 | 309 | 251 | 290 | 149 | 29 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Dogo Argentino Puppy
Your week with a Dogo Argentino Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Dogo Argentino Puppy comes home.
