What is listed for Kondotty is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Great Dane Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a giant dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Feeding a giant dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Great Dane Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Is a Great Dane Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kondotty?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Great Dane Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kondotty without much drama.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new giant dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
humid coastal, and moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a giant dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Great Dane Puppy are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Great Dane Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹58,833 to ₹58,833 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Great Dane Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Great Dane in Kondotty: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 37°C. That is manageable for a Great Dane, but watch it closely because a giant body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 21°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Great Dane puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, April and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 33 | 36 | 37 | 35 | 32 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 | 30 | 31 |
| Low °C | 21 | 22 | 24 | 25 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 21 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 11 | 33 | 84 | 184 | 399 | 368 | 278 | 217 | 241 | 129 | 26 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
