We place across Kodungallur and the wider Kerala region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a large dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Rottweiler Puppy are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Is a Rottweiler Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kodungallur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Rottweiler Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Kodungallur without much drama.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a large dog notices both. the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Rottweiler Puppy will barely register the change.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Rottweiler Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹27,992 to ₹27,992 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Rottweiler Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Rottweiler in Kodungallur: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 33°C. That is manageable for a Rottweiler, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 23°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to November, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Rottweiler puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 33 | 33 | 32 | 30 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 |
| Low °C | 23 | 25 | 26 | 27 | 27 | 26 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 24 |
| Rain mm | 13 | 29 | 53 | 130 | 278 | 501 | 430 | 343 | 297 | 351 | 176 | 37 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
