Buy Dogo Argentino Puppy in Kannur, Kerala
What is listed for Kannur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Dogo Argentino Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
What a Dogo Argentino Puppy costs in Kannur
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Dogo Argentino Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Is a Dogo Argentino Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kannur?
You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large dog in a Kannur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips For a Dogo Argentino Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Dogo Argentino Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Dogo Argentino Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
What you will pay
Expect ₹56,603 upward, to around ₹56,603. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Health and handover
Every Dogo Argentino Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Dogo Argentino in Kannur: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 36°C. That is manageable for a Dogo Argentino, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 21°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Dogo Argentino puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, April, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 33 | 35 | 36 | 35 | 32 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 29 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 21 | 22 | 24 | 26 | 26 | 25 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 22 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 6 | 25 | 79 | 217 | 668 | 686 | 496 | 312 | 249 | 109 | 21 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Dogo Argentino Puppy
Your week with a Dogo Argentino Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Dogo Argentino Puppy comes home.
