What a Afghan Hound Puppy costs in Cherthala

Expect ₹78,285 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.

Is a Afghan Hound Puppy a sensible choice for you in Cherthala?

You are choosing a 12–14 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large dog in a Cherthala apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.

Weather, coat and the Kerala year

the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important For a Afghan Hound Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Afghan Hound Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Cherthala flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a large Afghan Hound Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.

What you will pay

Expect ₹78,285 upward, to around ₹78,285. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 12–14 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
