We place across Chengannur and the wider Kerala region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Boxer Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Boxer Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Boxer Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
What a Boxer Puppy costs in Chengannur
Between ₹26,995 and ₹26,995 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Boxer Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Is a Boxer Puppy a sensible choice for you in Chengannur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Boxer Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Chengannur without much drama.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Boxer Puppy.
What you will pay
Expect ₹26,995 upward, to around ₹26,995. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Boxer in Chengannur: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 36°C. That is manageable for a Boxer, but watch it closely because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 21°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to November, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Boxer puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 36 | 35 | 32 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 29 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 21 | 22 | 24 | 25 | 25 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 22 |
| Rain mm | 15 | 28 | 57 | 127 | 246 | 357 | 296 | 251 | 256 | 341 | 200 | 46 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Boxer Puppy
A practical checklist for a large dog in a Chengannur flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
