What is listed for Somvarpet is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Beagle you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Beagle comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Somvarpet flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward For a Beagle that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Beagle.

Feeding a medium dog without guesswork

Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Beagle will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Beagle arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.

What a Beagle costs in Somvarpet

The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Beagle without mentioning that is selling, not advising.

What you will pay

Expect ₹22,366 upward, to around ₹22,366. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
