Buy Afghan Hound Puppy in Shirhatti, Karnataka
We place across Shirhatti and the wider Karnataka region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A aloof Afghan Hound Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 12–14 Years is easier.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Afghan Hound Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Is a Afghan Hound Puppy a sensible choice for you in Shirhatti?
You are choosing a 12–14 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large dog in a Shirhatti apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A Afghan Hound Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 12–14 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Afghan Hound Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Afghan Hound Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Afghan Hound Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹78,285 to ₹78,285 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Afghan Hound Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Afghan Hound in Shirhatti: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 37°C. That is manageable for a Afghan Hound, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in July.
For a new Afghan Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, May, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 37 | 37 | 35 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 29 |
| Low °C | 14 | 17 | 20 | 22 | 22 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 19 | 16 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 1 | 2 | 16 | 38 | 74 | 118 | 139 | 134 | 134 | 101 | 35 | 5 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Afghan Hound Puppy
Your week with a Afghan Hound Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Afghan Hound Puppy comes home.
