We place across Panathur and the wider Karnataka region. If a small dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

What a Shih Tzu costs in Panathur

Between ₹24,055 and ₹24,055 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Shih Tzu costs more up front and less in the first months.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Shih Tzu reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A bold Shih Tzu that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-16 Years is easier.

Feeding a small dog without guesswork

Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Shih Tzu will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.

Is a Shih Tzu a sensible choice for you in Panathur?

You are choosing a 10-16 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small dog in a Panathur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A bold Shih Tzu is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-16 Years.

Shih Tzu price, and the cost after it

₹24,055 to ₹24,055 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Shih Tzu without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
