Buy Afghan Hound Puppy in Magadi, Karnataka
What is listed for Magadi is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Afghan Hound Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Afghan Hound Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Is a Afghan Hound Puppy a sensible choice for you in Magadi?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a aloof Afghan Hound Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Magadi without much drama.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A aloof Afghan Hound Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 12–14 Years is easier.
What a Afghan Hound Puppy costs in Magadi
The purchase is the small number. Over 12–14 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Afghan Hound Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Afghan Hound Puppy.
What you will pay
Expect ₹78,285 upward, to around ₹78,285. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 12–14 Years.
Health and handover
Every Afghan Hound Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Afghan Hound in Magadi: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 35°C. That is manageable for a Afghan Hound, but watch it closely because a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Afghan Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, March, May, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 28 | 32 | 35 | 35 | 33 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 27 | 27 | 26 | 26 |
| Low °C | 13 | 15 | 18 | 21 | 21 | 19 | 19 | 19 | 18 | 18 | 16 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 2 | 5 | 16 | 58 | 108 | 77 | 98 | 110 | 154 | 138 | 57 | 15 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Afghan Hound Puppy
Your week with a Afghan Hound Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Afghan Hound Puppy comes home.
