What is listed for Kollegal is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Saint Bernard Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a giant Saint Bernard Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
Is a Saint Bernard Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kollegal?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Saint Bernard Puppy placements in Kollegal than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Saint Bernard Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kollegal flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new giant dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Saint Bernard Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
What a Saint Bernard Puppy costs in Kollegal
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Saint Bernard Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
What you will pay
Expect ₹39,369 upward, to around ₹39,369. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Health and handover
Every Saint Bernard Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a giant dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Saint Bernard in Kollegal: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 36°C. That is manageable for a Saint Bernard, but watch it closely because its double coat holds heat close to the body and a giant body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in October.
For a new Saint Bernard puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 36 | 36 | 32 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 15 | 17 | 20 | 22 | 22 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 19 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 3 | 5 | 22 | 61 | 108 | 106 | 117 | 105 | 121 | 139 | 76 | 19 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Saint Bernard Puppy
A practical checklist for a giant dog in a Kollegal flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
