Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small dog notices both. the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Shih Tzu will barely register the change.

Health records you should insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Shih Tzu; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a small Shih Tzu to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.

Is a Shih Tzu a sensible choice for you in Jayanagar 5th Block?

Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Shih Tzu placements in Jayanagar 5th Block than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Shih Tzu comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Jayanagar 5th Block flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Health and handover

Every Shih Tzu is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
