Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Saint Bernard Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Jayanagar 5th Block flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Saint Bernard Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.

Is a Saint Bernard Puppy a sensible choice for you in Jayanagar 5th Block?

You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A giant dog in a Jayanagar 5th Block apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Feeding a giant dog without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A giant breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
