We place across Gurumitkal and the wider Karnataka region. If a tiny dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new tiny dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
pleasant semi-tropical, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Chihuahua Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Chihuahua Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Gurumitkal flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Feeding a tiny dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A tiny breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
What a Chihuahua Puppy costs in Gurumitkal
Between ₹27,994 and ₹27,994 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Chihuahua Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Chihuahua Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹27,994 to ₹27,994 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Chihuahua Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Chihuahua in Gurumitkal: local climate
Gurumitkal is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Chihuahua needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Chihuahua puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 40 | 40 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 15 | 18 | 22 | 25 | 27 | 24 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 20 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 3 | 17 | 25 | 46 | 97 | 129 | 137 | 157 | 82 | 15 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
