Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a giant Saint Bernard Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Saint Bernard Puppy that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.

Feeding a giant dog without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A giant breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Health records you should insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Saint Bernard Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.

Settling in with children and other pets

Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Saint Bernard Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
